George asks…

I am a Real Estate Agent in Dallas, TX. How do I go about getting foreclosure listings? ?

As I mentioned above; I am a Realtor in Dallas, TX . Recently I thought about venturing out in the world of foreclosures to build my business. How do I go about getting foreclosed homes listed with me?

With all the recent foreclosures to hit next month in September, I am wondering what do I do, what process; if there is one, to go about getting banks to list foreclosed homes with you?

Thanks for taking the time ro read my question.

Lizzie asks…

Is it possible to get pre-foreclosure listings without involvement in a scam?

Given my CC # over the phone for the last time for access to so-called ‘exclusive members only websites’ which never fail to disappoint. This has to be public information. Where does one go?

Your Questions About Foreclosures

The Expert answers:

When a “Notice of Default/Foreclosure is filed against a property the company or entity that placed the property in foreclosure must file this notice with the county recorders office in which the property is located.

So if you want want a free copy of pre-foreclosures this is the place to start.

You should call before you go there to find out if there is a charge and their hours of operation.

In some instances you might find a title company that might work with you, but they are looking for possible business from the people they work with. Therefore they normally only work with real estate companies, investment firms or other companies that are in the real estate business.

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

Your Questions About Foreclosures

The Expert answers:

Realtor.com is a great site to look at. We found our home now on there and it was a foreclosure. Not all homes listed on that site are foreclosures but you can search and see what you find. You can put in an area, certain zip code, price range, bed room size and other misc information to narrow down your search. Good luck.

Sharon asks…

How Do I contact the appropriate source for yahoo’s foreclosure listings?

I was browsing yahoo’s realestate website and noticed many homes that are in foreclosures. I was unable to find any contact information, other than sponsored links. I would like more information on these homes and the purchase process.

Your Questions About Foreclosures

The Expert answers:

Perhaps I can refer you to a new website, www.BuySellListings.com. It provides Pre Foreclosure listings posted by homeowners. There’s no cost to view the listings, plus you can contact the seller directly.

Unlike other site, Information is always up-to-date because it requires the seller to log into their account and manually renew their ad once it expires. Only serious sellers post there.

As for the purchase process, you can ask a realtor or a foreclosure lawyer for advice. Good luck.
