Your Questions About Foreclosures

George asks…

i always get confused about how to find foreclosure homes to buy (for my own home not to resale)?

Do I have to pay to find out about them, is there a more straightforward way, I know they exist I just can’t find any (or estate sales), someway I can get an amazing deal on a move in ready house. I’m in Middletown, Oh, and don’t mind moving, even out of state, but also interested in houses in the Cincinnati area.

while all of the above answers are good…the fact is that THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW !

I live in San Dieg, CA and there are many banks, finance companies, mortgage companies that are refusing to accept the highest bid at the trustee sale because the bid comes no where near the defaulted amount.
MANY financial institutions are walking away from the trustee sales and deciding the hang on to the properties until the market turns around….they are opting to rent them out or lease them out. Many are even leaving them with an option to purchase.
Rents are skyhigh and getting higher every day in San Diego due to the high number of forelcosures and the fact that these previous homeowners now are becoming renters….so our rental market is trully “supply & demand”..

BUT YES….HERE IN SAN DIEGO THERE ARE MANY MANY MANY RENTALS THAT WERE PREVIOUSLY FORECLOSED ON (FOR RENT BY FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS).

Ps….in fact the banks etc are hiring rental agents to facilitate this process for them.

Thanks for asking…good luck :) - Your Questions About Foreclosures

Your Questions About Foreclosures

Michael asks…

So many people are losing there homes to foreclosure where are they going?

our family can’t afford the mortage on our home and I was just wondering if these poeple are leaving the states in which they live or staying in the same towns.

Your Questions About Foreclosures

The Expert answers:

Rental property. Most are not leaving the states they live in due to their jobs, careers and home.

This is really the fault of the ‘creative’ creditors who sold more home to people than they could afford. The bail-out may cost the U.S. Taxpayers billions and for what? To bail-out the investors who accepted the risk of funding people with sketchy credit and or selling more home to people than they could afford. It seems to me the investors should loose. I just wish their loss were not at the expense of the people loosing their homes.

Sorry for the rant!! I feel much better now.

Good Luck!
