Your Questions About Foreclosures

The Expert answers:

I personally use http://Cheaper-Deals.com/foreclosures

It’s a great resource and on their site they say they have over 1 million properties listed. My favorite part is their daily e-mail alerts for properties in your area.

Michael asks…

Is there a local number to call for foreclosure listings?

I have an account with a realty website where I can find foreclosure listings, but I was wondering if there is a local number to call for the listings in my area, not a real estate agent or firm, and not a website with a membership fee.

Your Questions About Foreclosures

The Expert answers:

You can go onto any banks website and search for REO listings. Most of these are going or will be going to foreclosure. You can get great deals on many of them, I know Bank of America where I work lists alot of them. I have talked to REO agents for BofA and they say just call the number listed, it usually goes to a voicemail but they’ll call you back. Many of the agents are handling many property listings.

Daniel asks…

Where to find free foreclosure listings?

I need a website where I can see free foreclosure listings around the whole US. It would also be great to see current auction price. ebay I really like but they don’t have many listings. Zillow prices are purposely written wrong to get people to check out the house. Is there any website with free foreclosure listings and current auction price?

James asks…

Where are the REAL FREE foreclosure listings online?

Soooo many sites advertise “free” foreclosure listings and force the visitor through a bunch of hoops including providing a credit card number they won’t charge “for 7 days unless you cancel”. Either its free or its not. Stop with the stupid stuff.
So where are the real free foreclosure listings??

Your Questions About Foreclosures

The Expert answers:

The sad truth is that NO website offers any listings for free. RealtyTrac and others may have a TON of listings, but the unfortunate thing about them is that they are so out-dated that when you go for the listing, it’s already been sold or foreclosed on. And you have basically wasted your money.

The best thing to do is to check out your local county clerk’s office or check with your local title company. These listings are fresh and usually in mass quantities because they have EVERY listing for that county or town. Those website are limited to what they obtain, and by the time they are posted on their website, they are out-dated.

Like I said, either call your local title company, or go to your county clerk’s office, but check for NOD (notice of default). You want people who are in the foreclosure process, not already foreclosed on. These listings are TRULY free and if you have to pay for anything at all, it might only be the paper you print it on.
