Your Questions About Foreclosures

Laura asks…

Is mainstream Hip Hop culture a good representation of American culture?

American (and usually this means white American ) values:

Violence—–invasions of multiple countries , rampant gun ownership

Sexism—-Virtually no women in corporate America, different wages for similar work ; world leader in pornography

Anti – intellectualism—-America ranked “worlds most uneducated industrialized nation” by UN (22 countries ranked); 1/4th are functionally illiterate; George Bush elected president TWICE; majority cannot name thier own senators, and most don’t even know where Iraq (and in some cases) America is on a map, despite the fact that they INVADED it

Materialism—Greed at it’s best, huge amounts of wealth for the few, home foreclosures and job losses for the many, rampant contempt of poor ppl; capitalism run amuck

Arrogance–Generally accepted that Americans think the world revolves around them

I welcome anybody to try and argue that the United States does not fit into these categories

—————————-

Hip Hop culture is a mirror image of the larger America culture, one that glorifies materialism, contempt for the poor, degradation of women, violence as a means to any end. Once you look past race, you realize that Black Americans are better ambassadors of white American culture than even whites are, the only difference is they put a beat to it

Your Questions About Foreclosures

The Expert answers:

The truth about the Rap Industry today is disturbing. The fact that they have such strong influence over young generations is not an accident, and makes it frightening to imagine our future.

Your Questions About Foreclosures

Sandy asks…

Doesn’t it seem the US has been repeatedly hit by economic and natural disasters a lot lately?

It all seemed to start intensifying shortly after 9/11

Hurricane Katrina has still not been completely recovered from Now an oil spew that was said to be thousands of gallons is now reported at millions of gallons per day

California was sending out IOU notices there are near drug lord gang wars on some US border States

Flash floods and earthquakes Detroit has been decimated by the auto sector meltdown — the Bail outs in general still make people angry just to hear about them as foreclosure rates continue to rise

North Korea threatens to wipe the US off the map — but that is laughed off as everyone gets nervous that N Korea’s ally Iran might have nukes when everyone knows N Korea DOES have them

The President that said he would end wars and bring the troops home and close Gutanamo hasn’t and isn’t looking like he is going to change his mind back to his election promises any time soon Drone attacks increase on Pakistan since Bush — isn’t covered a lot in the news because the media has made up its mind Obama is the weak one — no matter what he does it isn’t far enough when it comes to military shows of strength …………. hmmm?

Could the above be signs of a modern war being conducted against the population — in a covert action of destabilization programs and following the set pattern they always have when done to smaller nations throughout the globe

William asks…

Disrespectful co worker should i tell boss?

I work with the woman (i sit in front of her) who has some issues (we work for our state) we think she is schizophrenic and it very loud and obnoxious i have sympathy for her sickness but i wanna pull my hair out most of the time. She thinks she is perfect but we all know she is on medication, anyways part of her “perfectness” is looking up on the state property computer on the judicial website (which is public info) for ppl’s personal matters like divorces, child support, foreclosures, etc. We are NOT allowed to use the computer for non work related searches, even though it is a state website the agency gets emails once in a while reminding of that it is state property and we are not allowed to look up anything unwork related. The only thing we would need the internet for is yellow or white pages or map quest. I feel what she is doing is wrong she looks up this stuff and then tells me and one day she told me about a child support battle that involved one of my friends there, and once a foreclosure of another friend in which she was laughing hysterically over, but what recently bothered me was i saw her looking up my last name and when i walked by her desk i saw the screen up that showed i had a court date for a speeding ticket . I just feel that she spreads this stuff around because she loves to gossip and if she wants to look up this stuff at home then go ahead but not at work i feel offended by this should i tell our boss?? Thanks

Your Questions About Foreclosures

The Expert answers:

Yes, and since she is breaking the policies given, they may want to monitor her activities online for themselves. People in that line of work need to be held to certain standards of ethicity. If the tables were turned,I doubt if she would want either her,or a relatives matters being made “public” ,or water cooler conversation. I would speak to your supervisor about this and be sure they know that you would like to remain anonymous. Good luck with this.

Your Questions About Foreclosures

The Expert answers:

All that says is that 1) The government gets first dibs, as they have a judgment lien on the owners for 17364.16 plus interest and whatnot, 2) the house was NOT paid off yet, and there’s a mortgage on it, so the bank gets second dibs any money you pay up.

The problem is this house was ALREADY AUCTIONED, as that auction date was almost a month ago. If there were no bidders, it goes back to the bank as “REO”.

You will need to read this page VERY carefully. It explains the process and what you need to do in each case:

http://www.nyforeclosures.com/mastering/process_step2.html

and the “step 3” on the same site.
